What is Par-Q?
Self-screening tool that can be used by anyone who is planning to start an exercise or training routine
What are the 6 goals of a warm-up?
Gets rid of muscular stiffness Prevents risk of injury Increases range of motion in your joints Allows blood flow to the muscles Prevents overheating Prevents overstretching
Aim of a cooldown
Gradually decrease heart rate from working to resting. This will reduce lactic acid by allowing blood to get to the muscles. Followed by static stretches

We set goals by using SMART. It has to be specific so it is clear what you need to train, it needs to be measurable so that you know hence you have achieved your goal. It needs to be achievable so that you don’t demotivate yourself. Also it must be realistic and time-measurable meaning do you have the physilities to reach your goal and how long do you want to achieve your goal in

Activities similar to ones in warm up such as jogging to gradually decrease heart rate back to its resting heart rate
