What is an Open Skill?
They are skills that are predominantly AFFECTED by the ENVIRONMENT.

These are skills which are predominantly CONTROLLED by the PERFORMER.

What is a gross skill?
A skill which involves LARGE GROUPS OF MUSCLES and tend to be EXPLOSIVE in nature.

A skill which is involves SMALL, INTRICATE movements and tend to require ACCURACY.

What is a self-paced skill?
A skill where the TIMING and RATE of the skill is DETERMINED BY THE PERFORMER.

A skill which the TIMING and RATE of the skill is DETERMINED BY THE ENVIRONMENT.

Skills that are made up of DISCRETE elements performed in a CERTAIN ORDER.
