What are the four types of Female sex offenders?
- Teacher/lover- initiate the sexual abuse of an adolescence (usually male) from a position of power obtained through either age or status (mother, aunt, guardian). often unaware that their behaviour is unacceptable. Seek a loving relationship with the victim and does not realize they are harming the victim because to them it seems mutually beneficial..
- Male-coerced - the female is coerced by a male to participate in sexual abuse. These women endorse traditional roles in relationships (homemaker, mother/wife) and the partner is the breadwinner. Likely to join in on sexual abuse which their partner has already committed on his own.
- Male-accompanied - participate much more actively in the abuse with their partner. They are not reluctant like the previous one.
- predisposed - independently intiate sexual abuse. They themselves have been victims of sexual abuse in childhood and abused by other people throughout their lives. Their victims tend to be family members, often their own children. Victims are also physically abused and neglected by the offender.
