- Provide polite, courteous and respectful service (listen and take concern, be helpful)
- Deal professionally with an initial enquiry (explain how it is dealt with, provide reference numbers and contact persons)
- Manage an investigation or process (thorough and realistic)
- Keep people informed of the progress of an enquiry
Explain the service delivery charter for offenders, suspects or subject to police authority:
- Deal with the circumstances (impartial, fair, retain dignity )
- Provide information (facilitate rights, inform steps to be undertaken)
