Selection procedure
- Receive documentation and sorting it according to the criteria of the job
-Evaluate CV’s and create a shortlist
-Check information in the CV’s and contact references
-Conduct preliminary interviews to identify applicants who arent suitable for the job, even though they meet the requirements
-Test candidates who have applied for senior positions to ensure that the best candidate is chosen
-Conduct interviews with shorlisted candidates
-A written employment offer is made to the selected candidates

- Check application documents of candidates against the requirements of the job
-Candidates who meet the minimum requirements are separated from others
-Conduct background and reference checks of applicants who qualify for the job
-Prepare a shortlist of suitable candidates after screening
Purpose of interview
-Gathers information about the strengths and weaknesses of each candidate
-Determines a candidate’s suitability for the job
-Evaluates the qualities of the applicant
-Matches the information provided by the applicant to the job requirements

-Allocate the same amount of time to interview each candidate
-Inform all shortlisted candidates about the date and place of the interview
-The interviewer should develop a core set of questions based on the skill and knowledge required
-Book and prepare the venue for the interview

-The remuneration package including benefits must be clearly indicated
-The employment contract should include the code of conduct and the code of ethics
-The employer and employee must agree to any changes to the contact
-THe employer and new employee must both sign the contact
Reasons for termination of employment contract
-Retirement :
An employee may have reached the pre-determined age for retirement
-Health incapacity
An employee could become incapacitated due to illness
-Mutual agreement
The employer and employee may reach a mutual agreement
