Meaning of social responsibility
-The responsibility of every citizen and organization to contribute towards the well-being of the community and the environment in which they live in
-The responsibility can be in an form of implementing initiative that can benefit the society

-Hire counsellors to provide counselling to the infected and affected employees
-Develop counselling programmes for infected employees and their relatives
-Conduct workshops on HIV/AIDS programmes and support campaigns
-Encourage employees to join HIV/AIDS support groups
-Develop and implement strategies to deal with stigma and discrimination
Ways to deal with unemployment
-Create jobs for members of the community in the business
-Provide skills development training within the community through learnership programmes
-Use members of the community for implementing CSI projects in the community
-Conduct entrepreneurial programmes that can promote self-employment
-Offer bursaries to the community and employees to improve the level of education
Ways to deal with poverty
-Donate money and or food parcels to local NGO’s
-Invest in infrastructure and housing programmes in the local area
-Support poverty alleviation programmes that are offered by the government
-Invest in young starting businesses who can be a business competitor, buyer or supplier
-Offer the best volunteering programmes in the local area
Ways in which businesses can contribute and effort in improving the well-being of their employees
-Provide transport fir employees who unusually work long hours
-Conduct team building sessions to improve employees morale
-Pay fair bonuses based on the business earning as acknowledgment for hard work and commitment
-Provide recreational facilities for employees and encourage them to stay fit and healthy

-Donate money and or time to community projects
-Refrain from engaging in illegal or harmful practices such as selling illegal substances
-Businesses should aim to improve the general quality of their community
-Make sure that the product they supply doesn’t harm consumers or the environment
-Exercise ethically correct business practices
