- Bronchodilation

What are the 2 uses of salbutamol?
- Bronchospasm of any cause
2. Emergency treatment of hyperkalaemia
What are the adverse effects of salbutamol?
- Tachycardia
- Tremors

What is the nebuliser dose In either a mask or CPAP of salbutamol for an adult with bronchospasm?
5mg neb on 6-8L /m repeat as required
What is the salbutamol neb or CPAP dose for a paediatric?
2.5mg PRN of continuously if moderate to severe asthma or hyperkalaemia
What is the adult dose of salbutamol > 6 years old Using MDI?
10 x 100mcg puffs repeat as required. If moderate to severe bronchospasm or suspected hyperkalaemia give continuously by activating MDI every 20-30 seconds
What is the paed <6 dose of salbutamol via MDI?
5 x 100mcg puffs repeat PRN or give continuously for mod-severe bronchospasm or hyperkalamia
