For the treatment (only) of nausea and vomiting from a variety of vestibular causes including: motion sickness, migraine, vertigo, and labyrinthitis

Stemetil adversely effects all body systems. What are those effects?

A

Gastro: constipation and dry mouth

Nervous system: drowsiness and extrapyrimidial symptoms

Cardio: hypotension, ECG changes (QT prolongation)

Respiratory: respiratory depression

  1. KSAR to phenothiazines
  2. CNS depression
  3. Shock from any cause or circulatory compromise
  4. Pregnancy
  5. < 18 years
  6. Conjunction with IV amioderone
  7. Previous oral prochloroerazine in last 8 hours
