Revelations Flashcards
Revelations 12:10 (NRSV)
“[10] Then I heard a loud voice in heaven, proclaiming, “Now have come the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God and the authority of his Messiah, for the accuser of our comrades has been thrown down, who accuses them day and night before our God.”
The devil is the accuser and throughout the day we are blaming ourselves, blaming each other and that makes us feel guilty and ashamed. So, now we have to learn the truth and how to get rid of these thoughts.
Revelation 12:11 (NRSV)
“[11] But they have conquered him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, for they did not cling to life even in the face of death.”
By the Blood of Jesus and the Word of our testimony.
What are we testifying all the time? Are we testifying that Jesus healed me, Jesus loves me, Jesus has anointed me, or are we testifying all the wrong things? Whatever we say, we shall have. Be careful what you think. Your thoughts shape your life. Your thoughts will become your words and your words will come out of your mouth. Your believing becomes your action, your action becomes your habit and your habit becomes your character. What am I doing? I must change the words. I must operate in love. That is what Christ wants us to do. We are now a new creation and become a new person. Everything we do is in faith, it works through love. For everything that you do, the foundation is love. God is Love. The whole Kingdom of God is the Kingdom of Love. We are in the garden of love, but the moment we have bitterness, there is no love. When we are out of the garden, we are no longer walking with God. We are separated from God because of sin. God cannot hear us when we operate in sin. The more we speak negative words, we are now unrighteous. We run out of righteousness because of our filthy rags.
