Matthew Flashcards
Matthew 16:23 (NRSV)
“[23] But he turned and said to Peter, “Get behind me, Satan! You are a stumbling block to me; for you are setting your mind not on divine things but on human things.”
When Jesus speaks about His suffering and death, Peter turned around and said, “No” to Jesus. Jesus turned and said to Peter, “Get behind me, Satan! You are an obstacle in my way.” These thoughts come from our human nature and not from God.
Our thoughts are not from the Word of God. Our thoughts are from our human nature, so when we think carnally, we need to get rid of those thoughts because that is where the devil dwells in us and he gives us suggestions, ideas, and all negative thoughts.
Matthew 18:18 (NRSV).
“[18] Truly I tell you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.”
So, what do I need to do? I need to bind every negative word and every evil spirit that is from the kingdom of darkness. So, I must bind every negative thought that comes to my mind. All you need to do is to say, “This is not from God. These are not my thoughts.” So, you say, “
In the Name of Jesus, I bind and I cast out the spirit of violence in A,” the spirit of unbelief, the spirit of hurt, the spirit of pain, and whatever thoughts come and put negative words in your mouth. You need to bind every thought and word and make it obedient to Christ. By binding those negative thoughts and casting them out from your mind now, you loose: A is blessed and full of love and is covered by the Blood of Jesus. A is gentle, A is nice, A is full of peace and joy. In our heart, we are thinking of A wrongly, because we have believed the lies the devil has put in our heart and mind and we keep looking at A as violent. So, the whole night and day we are meditating on “A is violent,” we make A become that person. So now I must change my mindset and I must believe in what God says and that is how we get rid of all the negative thoughts.
In the Name of Jesus, I bind and cast out the spirits of violence, bitterness, anger,” whatever thoughts the devil puts in your mind, and say, “Lord, I release love, joy, and peace, A loves me and I love A.” If it is your husband and you are lying down next to him, speak love and believe that your husband loves you. If the devil puts thoughts in your mind e.g., that A is cheating on you, say, “No, A is not cheating on me, devil, it is you that wants my husband to cheat on me. My husband loves me.” You must cast out the spirit of lust. Whatever words the devil is putting in your mind, you need to cast them out. You need to speak only love, joy, and unity. And that’s how you destroy the work of the devil.
Matthew 6:33 (NRSV)
“[33] But strive first for the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.”
Seek My Kingdom and everything else will be added. What do I need to do? I must give my time and my availability to God, study His Words, so He can give me His availability, His authority, His power. So that I know how to apply His Word and system in my everyday life and now when I know how to apply the system, I bring my husband, my children, and everyone else into the garden.
Matthew 8:17 (NRSV)
“[17] This was to fulfill what had been spoken through the prophet Isaiah, “He took our infirmities and bore our diseases.”
Jesus bore all my sicknesses; I am set free, I am healed. The devil wants to see if you have understanding and what you believe. You need to keep saying that you have no pain in you. Why? Because Jesus has paid the price on the Cross for you.
