Isaiah Flashcards
Isaiah 59:1 (NRSV)
“[59] See, the Lord’s hand is not too short to save, nor his ear too dull to hear.”
Don’t think the Lord is too weak to save you or too deaf to hear your call. It is your sin that separates you from God when you try to worship him. So, anything that we are thinking by our sense knowledge and of this world, we are not operating in faith and at that moment we operate in sin. That is why the devil has power over us; sickness and destruction also have power over us.
Isaiah 64:6 (NRSV)
“[6] We have all become like one who is unclean, and all our righteous deeds are like a filthy cloth. We all fade like a leaf, and our iniquities, like the wind, take us away.”
Our righteousness is all about our own perspective. I think what I know and we no longer live by our own righteousness. When every thought comes to your mind, you have the authority, the power, the ability, the Holy Spirit, who is the Helper who is working for you, in you, and with you, then no one can be against you.
Isaiah 10:27 (NRSV)
“[27] On that day his burden will be removed from your shoulder, and his yoke will be destroyed from your neck. He has gone up from Rimmon.”
Destroy the yoke of the devil, destroy the burden, whatever the devil puts in your life. You must understand the Truth. Sr. Samantha mentioned that her life changed, that she doesn’t need to labour or do anything; she just asks the Holy Spirit everything. When she studies the Word, she stands up when she’s finished, repeats what she has heard and the revelation that God has revealed to her. She speaks out the revelation before she leaves her room, before anything distracts her. So now she has it in her heart, but the next day when she goes through a test or something happens, she asks the Holy Spirit to remind her what He has taught her because at that moment she is crying in faith.
