2 Corinthians 10:5 (NRSV)
“[5] And every proud obstacle raised up against the knowledge of God, and we take every thought captive to obey Christ.”
Sr. Samantha was giving us the scriptures that we need to remember and apply to get rid of all these thoughts.
Every thought that comes to your mind that is not from the Word of God, every single word and every thought, you must uproot them. Every negative word: when I look at A, negative thoughts speak to me saying, “A is violent.” That is not from the Word of God. God is love, joy, etc. Galatians 5:22 reveals the fruits of the spirit:
2 Corinthians 5:17 (NRSV)
“[17] So if anyone is in Christ, there is a new creation: everything old has passed away; see, everything has become new!”
Everything is in the past. My debt is gone, sickness is gone, and crisis is gone. Everything is gone. I am a new creation in Christ. Everything in my life prospers. Everything in my life is divine nature. I am no longer in human nature and believe that we do not belong to this world. God has translated us into the Kingdom of Light. So, we no longer belong to this world. How do I know this? It is in the scripture:
