Mark 7:21-23 (NRSV)
“[21] For it is from within, from the human heart, that evil intentions come: fornication, theft, murder,
[22] adultery, avarice, wickedness, deceit, licentiousness, envy, slander, pride, folly.
[23] All these evil things come from within, and they defile a person.”

So, that’s where words enter our mind and then the thoughts come. When we think, that’s when the devil plays with our minds. Every single day there are 40,000 – 70,000 thoughts that come into our minds and talk to us with suggestions, ideas, accusations, and all of these negative words. Our job is to know how to shut up those thoughts.
