A

When a position becomes available in the organisation.
This could be cause by a member of staff leaving for another organisation, earning a promotion, retirement, maternity leave, illness etc.

What is Carry out a job analysis (Recruitment)?

A

A detailed study of what the job actually involves-tasks, responsibilities, workload etc.
This stage will determine whether or not the recruitment process needs to continue. It may become apparent that the workload of the departing member of staff could be shared among existing staff members.
It will also help inform the next stage of the process-preparing the job description.

A

It may be posted along with the job advert to inform prospective candidates about the details of the role.
Let prospective candidates know whether applying for the job is worthwhile or not - this could help the business only receive suitable applications.
It will be compared against job applications to see if candidates meet the criteria (Selection Process).
Can be used to help devise questions for the interview (Selection Process).
