Advertising is about communicating information to your customer.

These increase awareness of product/service and inform customers about the product/service.

These aim to persuade a consumer to buy the product by emphasising its desirability.

An organisation pays to have an advert placed in a particular newspaper of magazine to target a certain market segment.
What is the description of a Radio?
An organisation pays to have a jingle/announcement played between songs in particular radio stations.
What is the description of a Internet Website?
An organisation can pay to have pop up adverts appear on popular websites. An organisation can also have adverts on their own website to promote current and future products.

An organisation pays to have a large poster/sign displayed in a busy area of a city.
What is the description of Social Media?
An organisation uses Facebook/Instagram/Twitter to make announcements about products/services.

An organisation texts customers to inform them of latest offers (eg Domino’s texting on a Tuesday).
