What do Special Offers do?
BOGOF (Buy One Get One Free). A customer purchases one product and receives another for free.
What do Loyalty Cards do?
A customer receives points/credit for making continued purchases (eg Boots Advantage Card).
What do Coupons do?
Collectible vouchers which can redeemed in store when purchasing a product.
What do Discounts do?
Reducing prices for a short period of time (eg 20% off sale).
What do Competitions do?
Being entered into a draw to win a prize when making a purchase.
What do Free Gifts do?
A customer receives an extra item with their purchase (eg a free case when you buy a new phone).
What do Sponsorships do?
A business provides funding for an event/cause in return for publicity and media exposure (eg Coca-Cola sponsoring the Olympics).
What does Product Placement do?
A business pays for products to appear in films, TV shows or video games.
What does Celebrity Endorsement do?
A business pays a celebrity to publicly support/use their products/services (eg Gary Lineker for Walkers Crisps).
