Q

What are halogens?

A

= oxidising agents
= more reactive halogens are stronger oxidising agents than less reactive halogens
= Flourine is the powerful oxidising agent
= reactivity decreases

Q

Why does the reactivity decrease?

A

= sheilding increases
= size of atom increases
= protons increases
= harder for electrons to exist/ to gain electrons
