What is the first step to writing half equations?
A
= write down the oxidising numbers to find out what has been reduced and oxidised
= oxidisation is loss
= reduction is gain

What is the second step to writing half equations?
A
= if it has been oxidised we add electrons to the right side if it has been reduced we add electrons in the left side
= we balance the oxygens by adding water molecules and we balance the hydrogens by adding hydrogen ions

A
= we check whether it has been balanced and if so it is correct
