Q

What is the pressure units and the ideal conversion?

A

= Measured in pascals (1 pascal is low pressure)
= to convert kPA into PA we multiply by 1000

What is the volume units and the ideal conversion?

A

= Measured in m^3
= to convert cm^3 into m^3 we divide by a million (x 10^-6)
= to convert dm^3 into m^3 we divide by a 1000

Q

What is the temperature units and the ideal conversion?

A

= Measured in Kelvins
= to convert celcius to Kelvin we add 273
= to comvert Kelvin to celcius we take away 273

Q

What are the assumptions that we make for an ideal gas?

A

= gas molecules are tiny compared to the spaces between them
= no forces acting between the gas molecules
= gas molecules move randomly
= when the gas molecules collide, the collisions are elastic
