What is parinaud syndrome?

A

Dorsal midbrain syndrome. Can be caused by pineal gland tumors, MS, stroke.

  • Paralysis of upgaze
  • pseudo-argyll-robertson pupils: accomodation, no light reflex, no convergence
  • eyelid retraction
  • conjugate down-gaze
