What is pseudobulbar paresis?
A
Caused by MS. Caused by dysarthria, dysphagia, impaired mvmt of tongue and face.

What is parinaud syndrome?
A
Dorsal midbrain syndrome. Can be caused by pineal gland tumors, MS, stroke.
- Paralysis of upgaze
- pseudo-argyll-robertson pupils: accomodation, no light reflex, no convergence
- eyelid retraction
- conjugate down-gaze

cushing’s reflex - elevated ICP
A
- hypertension - increased ICP compromises O2 delivery to brain and causes increased blood supply
- bradycardia - due to pressure on medulla
- irregular breathing - due to pressure on medulla
