Osteoma. What location? Associated syndrome?
Benign tumor of bone. Usually on facial bones. Gardner syndrome is an APC mutation that results in colon polyps and osteomas.
Osteoid osteoma and Osteoblastoma. What location? What is the difference?
Osteoblastic tumor with osteoid and reactive bone.
In cortex of long bones.
Osteoblastic tumor is small and pain responds to aspirin
Osteoma is large and pain does not respond to aspirin.
Osteochondroma and multiple hereditary exostosis.
Most common tumor of bone.
Metaphysis of long bones. Continuous with marrow space.
Rare transformation to chondrosarcoma.
MHE is autosomal dominant. EXT1,2,3. Higher rate of transformation.
