What is Acantholysis? and suprabasal blisters?
Acantholysis is loss of desmosomes (lysis of stratum spinosum). Pemphigus vulgaris.

Dermatitis herpetiformis. Celiac sprue.
What is acanthosis? Which disorder?
Increase in thickness of stratum spinosum. Psoriasis.
What is dyskeratosis? Which disorder?
Abnormal, premature keratinization of keratinocytes - strongly eosinophilic with basophilic nuclear remnant. Squamous cell carcinoma.
Define Hyperparakeratosis. Which disorder?
Retention of nuclei in stratum corneum - increased cell turnover. Normal in mucous membranes. Psoriasis in skin.
Define Hypergranulosis. Which disorder?
Lots of granules in the stratum granulosum. Lichen planus.
Define Spongiosis. Which disorder?
Epidermal accumulation of transudate (edema fluid). Eczematous dermatitis.
Define dermal edema. Which disorder?
Excess transudate in dermal lymphatic channels. Urticaria (hives).
