What is pulse used to measure ?
Used to measure how fast our heart beats per minute .
How is resting pulse rate measured ?
When a person has been still for 5 minutes , placing fingers on the inside of your wrist at the base of your thumb and then couting the amounts of beats per minute
What is the average amount of beats per minute for an adult ?
60-100 beats per minute . Lower or higher could indicate health problems .
How does a persons gender effect their RPR ?
It could mean it could be higher or lower .
How does a persons gender effect their RPR ?
Men often have a lower RPR than women .
How does age effect RPR ?
Babies have a higher RPR than adults 110-160 , children 80-120 , adult 60-100.
How does a persons size effect RPR ?
overweight people usually have a higher RPR than lean people .
How does a persons level of physical activity effect RPR ?
Fitter people have a lower RPR such as ahtletes , 40-60bpm.
What is a healthy persons heart rate before and after exercise ?
60-85%
What are some of the risks of a high RPR ?
Dizziness , Heart attack , Stroke , High blood pressure .
List some ways in which you can lower your RPR ?
Regular exercise , health diet , lower stress levels , stop smoking ,
