- Being hygienic
- Destroying vectors
- Isolating infected individuals
- Vaccination
Being hygenic
Simply washing your hands can reduce bacteria or viruses from being caught and spread
Destroying vectors
1: by getting rid of organisms that spread disease, you can prevent the disease being passed on
2: Vectors that are insects can be killed using insecticides by destroying their habitat so they can no longer breed
3: an example would be killing mosquitos to stop malaria from spreading
Isolating individuals
If you isolate someone who has a communicable disease, it prevents them from passing it on to anyone else
Vaccination
Vaccinating people and animals against communicable diseases means, that they can’t develop the infection and pass it on to someone else.
