A
- disease spread from person to person or between animal and people
- Caused by bacteria, viruses, parasites and fungi
- they are contagious or infection disease

A
- disease that cannot spread between people or between animals and people
- generally last a long time and get worse slowly
- Asthma and CHD are examples

- diet —> access to healthy food
- stress
- access to medicines
- access to condoms

What is the human cost of non-communicable disease
A
- people with these diseases have a lower quality life or a shorter lifespan
- effecting those who suffer with it and their loved ones too

What is the financial cost of Non-communicable disease
A
- expensive for the NHS for researching and treating
- Families may need to adapt their homes, which can be costly
- if family member with the disease has to give up work or dies, there’s a reduced income for family
- A reduction in NO. of people able to work can effect country’s economy
