Trophoblasts secretes hCG, which is
detectable in blood 1 week after conception, or
detectable in urine 2 weeks after conception (home test)

A
After labor, decreases in progesterone inhibits lactation.
However, sucking activates it by stimulating nerve, hence increasing oxytocin and prolactin secretion.
