When is Spironolactone usually indicated?

A
  • Ascites: patients with cirrhosis develop a secondary hyperaldosteronism. Relatively large doses such as 100 or 200mg are often used
  • Heart failure
  • Nephrotic syndrome
  • Conn’s syndrome
