medium vessel vasculitis
causes necrotizing inflammation leading to aneurysm formation

Typical demographic
A
middle-aged men
- associated with hepatitis B infection.

Clinical features
A
- fever, malaise, arthralgia
- weight loss
- hypertension
- mononeuritis multiplex
- testicular pain
- livedo reticularis
- haematuria, renal failure

What percentage of patients are positive for ANCA and Hep B
A
ANCA - 20%
Hep B - positive in 30%
