What are the BMCs?
Bleed Monitoring Computers x 2
One for each engine bleed system
interconnected so if one fails the other will take-over most functions.
What detects air leaks?
Air leakage detection loops.
What do the air leak detection loops do?
Automatically isolate the effected area.
Where is bleed taken from?
IP and HP valves, HP only when insufficient from IP output. Non-return valve in IP line to prevent HP air going in.
Where is the Bleed Valve?
Downstream from the HP and acts as a shutoff and Px reg valve.
Where is the precooler?
After the Bleed valve, air cooled from engine fan bleed.
Where does APU Bleed air go?
Left system if Xbleed closed.
Where does the GPU air come in?
Left side as well next to the APU.
What is displayed on the precooler on the Bleed page?
Inlet pressure and outlet temperature.
Which has priority on the ground, ENG or APU BLeed?
APU
With GND air will you have to open the Xbleed to start ENG2?
Yes
When is the GND symbol displayed on the Bleed page?
Only on the ground
If on one Engine Bleed, can you supply both packs and WAI?
No, only one pack and WAI?
