FLY… Land as soon as Practical.

FLY…descend at:
15% torque,
80 to 100 knots to 500 feet,
2° nose up maintain.

FLY…. Land as soon as PRACTICAL.

MGB OIL PRESS [RED WARNING]
MGB PUMP 1 or 2 FAIL and MGB BYPASS
MGB Oil Press is 7 p.s.i or greater
FLY...descend at: 15% torque, 80 to 100 knots to 500 feet, 2° nose up maintain. Land as Soon as Possible.
Identify.-MAIN GEAR BOX OIL
PRESSURE WARNING. (auto bypass)
(a pump has failed only. no leak),

Immediate action step for “GEARBOX OIL OUT” aural alert
Land IMMEDIATELY
INPUT 1 CHIP
no MGB PRES caution or warning
FLY..adjust to OEI profile,
Land as soon as POSSIBLE.

MGB OIL PRESS [RED WARNING]
MGB PUMP 1 or 2 FAIL and MGB BYPASS
MGB Oil Press is 7 psi or greater
What if you add one of the dynamic secondaries below:
Increased power required at constant collective setting and airspeed. Yaw kicks. Unusual noise or vibrations. Loss of two hydraulic pumps. "GEARBOX OIL OUT" aural alert
Emergency descent
FLY…descend at:
15% torque,
80 to 100 knots to 500 feet,
2° nose up maintain.
If you get one of the Dynamic secondaries:
Land IMMEDIATELY .
Identify.-MAIN GEAR BOX OIL PRES/TEMP CAUTIONS.

Why is the engine brought to idle with a MGB PUMP 1 or 2 FAIL
The failed pump is no longer scavenging oil from the accessory module. To reduce heat and potential frothing of excess oil, we reduce the load on that side thus reducing oil flow rate. (info from training)

Identify.- FALSE MGB INDICATIONS.
Reset the “M XMSN OIL WARN” circuit breaker once.
MGB Bypass switch will need to be cycled MAN cool back to AUTO position.
