Depending on how long the Bus-tie relay takes to switch over you may drop some components temporarly (AFCS, RADAR, MFDs). If the APU GCU also fails, don’t continue offshore since you will have no way to start the aircraft after inspection.

Without the APU GEN online what approaches and comms are available with DUAL AC GEN FAILURE

DC CONV 1 FAIL, DC CONV 2 FAIL, BACKUP CONV FAIL. initial action
Turn backup CONV off to regain ICS.
The ICS is powered through the Battery bus. With the backup converter switch on, the battery bus is connected to the backup converter. Turning off the Backup converter switch allows the Battery bus to be powered by the battery again instead of the inoperative backup converter.
BATTERY HOT note:
May not have sufficient power for subsequent APU start. BATT CHARGE FAIL (since battery will be discharged through the Battery Bus to reduce heat)
