Introversion
- Does not seek social situations
- Likes peace and quiet
- Good at concentrating
- Performs better with low arousal
Reticular Activating System (RAS)
- Determines whether someone is inclined towards I/E
- Extroverts RAS inhibits effects of external sensory stimuli –> leads to low internal arousal in brain
- Seek external stimulation to acheive higher internal arousal
- Introverts have high internal arousal
