Dose Range

A

Loading dose:
200-300mg d for 7 days

Maintenance (normal metabolisers): 100mg -200mg d

Maintenance (slow metabolisers): 50-100mg daily

Counselling/SE

A
  • dizziness
  • You will need to go for regular blood test whilst taking this medication
  • tell dr if you have weakness, weight loss, pins and needles or numbness of fingers and toes

SE:

  • dizziness, headache
  • weight loss, nausea
  • hepatotoxicity
  • peripheral neuropathy
  • hypoglycaemia
