- Treatment of folate-deficiency anaemia
- Prevention of fetal neural tube defects

Dose Range
A
5 mg daily (for folate deficiency)
500 mcg daily before conception and for the first 12 weeks of pregnancy (5 mg for high risk)

Rare - rash, bronchospasm, fever, nausea, diarrhoea, irritability, sleep disturbance
