I’ve been asked by your GP to teach you how to measure your peak flow rate, this is a way of assessing how well air flows in and out of your lungs. Is this what you were expecting to happen today?

Ok, I’ll

  • demonstrate the steps
  • then ask you to show me how you would measure your peak flow

Before we start, are you feeling short of breath or in any pain today?
