-severe hypos
-BM monitoring for G1, G2
Adequate awareness
-can bring vehicle to controlled safe stop
-requires symptomatic and physiological awareness by driver
Severe hypos
-needs help of someone else
G1+ G2 monitoring
Before - test 2hours before
During - every 2 hours
More regular monitoring needed if greater risk of hypos
Diabetes rules
-impaired hypo awareness rules for G1, G2
G1 - MUST NOT DRIVE + NOTIFY
-can drive once GP or diabetic consultant confirms that adequate awareness of hypos has been regained
G2 - MUST NOT DRIVE +- NOTIFY
Diabetes rules

Licensed for 1, 2, 3 years
Diabetes rules
-requirements for non hypo meds for both G1 and G2
G1 - CAN DRIVE
G2 - CAN DRIVE + NOTIFY but must
1. diabetic complications meet standards
