immune complexes, antibodies and complement proteins get stuck in glomeruli and cause inflammation
Post-Streptococcal Glomerulonephritis - evidence of recent tonsilitis
Hx tonsilitis
+ve throat swab
anti-streptolysin antibody titres on blood test
Post-Streptococcal Glomerulonephritis - Mx
in most cases = supportive Mx
if develop htn and/or odema
- antihtn medicatino
- diuretics
