CA: check fuel against release, Enter initial ALT in PFD, initialize ACARS, Call for Before Start Checklist (to the line). FO: Obtain ATC clearance, set assigned transponder code and flight ID, exterior inspection. PF: Initializes and enters all speeds in FMS, enters the released/cleared routing in the FMS (PM will verify), sets up GP for departure, verifies flight instruments are set and crosschecked, conducts the takeoff briefing, sets COMM/NAV frequencies
