how does this policy link to skinner
can control behaviour in prisons by rewarding desirable behaviour so its repeated and bad behaviour with negative consequences
what did fo and o’donnel devise
a buddy system in which adult volunteers are assigned a young offender to provide consistent reinforcement for socially acceptable ways of behaviour
STRENGTH: how can fo and o’donnel be used as a strength
shows effectiveness with both adult and young offenders
STRENGTH: is there any ethical reprcussions
there arent any as they arent as damaging as other policies from individualist policies
WEAKNESS: is it long term
no, good behaviour may not progress once leaving prison
WEAKNESS: why might they not be true
they may only be preformed for rewards
