a set of typical ideas about crime given to a society that conceal the inequality of a capitalist society on the proletariat

A
- a way in which crime conceals capitalists inequalities
- makes crime seem like the fault of the WC
- divides the WC
- encourages workers to blame WC criminals for their problems rather than blaming capitalism
- this prevents a revolution, blame each other not the system

shifts attention away from much more serious ruling class crime (WCC , state crime)
