Oogenesis

A

Production of ova, not continuous part of the menstrual cycle
-FSH is released stimulating one (or more) follicles to mature
-LH stimulates the now-mature follicles to produce more oestrogen and to inhibit the production of FH and FSH
-increase in oestrogen stimulates LH & FSH production which leads to ovulation

A

Production of sperm, continuous process
-LH stimulation production of testosterone
-sperm produced and mature, FSH and testosterone
-sertoli cells secrete inhibit, stops follicle stimulating hormone and spermatogenesis
