What are the 5 branches of facial nerves?
- Temporal branch
- Zygomatic branch
- Buccal branch
- Mandibular branch
- Cervical branch
Where does the main branch of the facial nerve exit?
Through the stylomastoid foramen
Which cranial nerve is the facial nerve?

What is the orientation of the Constrictor muscle?
Fibres are organised in circular direction relative to the pharyngeal wall
What is the orientation of the longitudinal muscle?
Fibres are orientated vertically
What are the names of the 3 constrictor muscles?
- Superior constrictor muscle
- Middle constrictor muscle
- Inferior constrictor muscle
They overlap each other
What do the constrictor muscles do?
Move food from the pharynx to the oesophagus
What nerve innervated the constrictor muscle?
