what are they?
A
fluid filled cysts often seen on surface of cervix

pathophysiology?
A
mucus produced by columnar epithelium of endocervix becomes trapped and forms mucinous cyst

when can they happen?
A
- after childbirth
- minor trauma to cervix
- cervicitis secondary to infection

Presentation?
A
- often found incidentally on speculum exam
- smooth rounded bumps near os
- whitish / yellow appearance

Mx?
A
reassure & no treatment required
if any doubt, refer for colposcopy
