Q

What is the cubital fossa? What is another name for it?

A

Q

Label the triceps, humerus, anterior humerus line, anterior fat pad, radius, capitulum, ulna, and radiocapitellar line.

A
20
Q

What is the significance of the radiocapitellar line?

A

A line drawn down the neck of the radius should intersect the capitulum. If it does not, then something is dislocated

21
Q

What is a subluxation?

A

A slight misalignment

22
Q

What is a pulled elbow? What is another name for it? What population does it most commonly affect and how is it treated?

Q

What are the branches of the ulnar, median, and radial nerves that we need to know?

A

Ulnar Nerve - does have branches but none we need to know

Median nerve - anterior interosseus nerve

Radial nerve - deep radial nerve and posterior interosseus nerve

27
Q

List the superficial muscles of the anterior compartment of the forearm. Mention their actions and what nerve innervates them.

A
28
Q

What is the common flexor tendon?

A

A tendon that attaches to the medial epicondyle of the humerus and serves as the upper attachment point for the superficial muscles of the front of the forearm
