Skin testing
A
Type I (allergy) -injection of allergen will cause raised bump 5-7mm within 15min
Type III (arthus reaction) -Injection of specific Ag results in large (greater than 50mm) bump within 5-10hrs
Type IV (mantoux test)
- Injection of M. tuberculosis.
- pos result is bump greater than 10mm at 48-72hrs

Radioimmosorbent test (RIST)
A
measures level of IgE Ab in the patient sample
Allergic symptomatic patients would have IgE levels greater than 100IU/mL

A
measures antigen specific IgE levels in the patients sample
