Point and Shoot Camera
Pros: small, light, no tripod, fixed lens, fairly cheap
Cons: poor quality, limited control (aperture, shutter speed)
Digital Single-Lens Reflex Camera (DSLR)
Pros: much higher quality, better control, see what you shoot, different lenses (macroscopic, telescopic, etc.)
Cons: several thousand $, complex, weight and size, fragile
Cell phone usage
Do not use
Can face defense discovery motion asking to access phone
Can be inadvertently shared (separate work vs. personal)
Shutter speed
Amount of light camera takes in
Often fractions (blur=side effect)
Humans can only hold 1/50 second steady, after need tripod

How much light we are letting in
Higher # = more light
Higher the ISO, more noise (grainy)
Aperture (F-stop)
How open the lens is
Like dilating retina
More open, more light
Higher #, smaller opening
Lower FStop, less depth

What happens when you change 1 setting?

Making sure image is accurate
