Animal sexual abuse
Contact or interaction between an animal and person, when the animal is being used for the sexual stimulation of that person or another person. Considered more precise and encompassing than either bestiality or zoophilia.

Used to mean sexual activity between a person and an animal. Further understood to mean using animals as sex objects without emotional attachment.
Opportunistic zoophile
person who would be content with sexual activity with humans but will have sex with an animal if the opportunity arises.
Necrozoophile/necrozoobestialist
A person sexually attracted to dead animals.
Zoophile/classic zoophile
Used to mean sexual activity between a person and an animal. Further understood to mean sexual fixation on animals; zoophiles prefer animals over people as their sexual partners.
Zoophile by proxy
individual forced into a sex act with an animal by a human partner.
Zoosexualist
Claims an emotional as well as a perceived mutual sexual attraction to or perceived mutual relationship with an animal. Synonymous with zoophile.
Zooerasty
Sexual contact with animals and a lack of emotional connection with an animal
Zoosadism
An extreme form of sexual abuse that involves great suffering. A zoosadist derives sexual pleasure from sadistic activities with an animal such as torture. Sadism includes acts of genital mutilation.
