Q

What is the main positon of the fingers and wrist with a power grip? What are the 4 types of power grips and examples?

A
  • finger flexion and wrist ulnar deviation with slight extension
    1. Cylindrical grip (soda can)
    2. Fist grasp (smaller object like hammer, so there is overlap)
    3. Spherical grasp (baseball)

19
Q

How is pec minor tested?

A

The pectoralis minor muscle originates on ribs three to five and inserts on the coracoid process of the scapula. The muscle is tested by positioning the patient in supine. Pressure is applied against the anterior aspect of the shoulder, downward toward the table.
