Indication: HTN, MI, HF
SE: bradycardia (slower heart rate), bronchospasm (tightening of lung muscles, leads to wheezing, coughing)
-Store at room temp. + keep away from moisture + heat
-Monitor blood glucose (drug may mask hypoglycemia)
-Take with meals
-take at the same time each day
-swallow whole (don’t crush or chew)
- Monitor BP (high BP is symptomless)
-Avoid sudden discontinuation of drug
BBW: ischemic heart disease w/ sudden discontinuation
