Indication: Hyperlipidemia
SE: liver failure, rhabdomyolysis (damaged muscle tissue)
Monitor: LFT, CPK, lipid panel
Clinical Pearls:
-Can take at any time of the day
-With or without food
- May take up to 2 weeks for cholesterol to improve
-Combine with proper exercise and diet
-Report signs of myopathy or rhabdomyolysis (muscle pain, weakness, tenderness, fever)
-NO GRAPEFRUIT
-Store at room temp + away from moisture, heat, light
Contraindication: preggo
